Resolution of the New Year!!!

wa... 7days later v will be writing 2009 instead of 2008!! time is flying with jet, man...

neways. i tot of writing a quick recap on the matters happened in 2008 bt... kai has done it for me so i will list down a brief resolution for the coming year instead.

here we go...

1. NOT TO BE DISCLOSED. i failed it anyways.
2. wake up 15min earlier, so that i have enough time to walk slowly to class in heels. It happened once, wasn't a good experience. I actually felt awkward for being taller than usual!
3. go clubbing in nottingham city. alright.. I did put effort on this. beginning of this semester, I planned to attend the partay in oceana, but I fell sick and yeah u know what happened next.
4. go souvenier shopping in oxford before going back to malaysia on march. this didn't happen as well.
5. look for accomodation and visit hebden bridge, yorkshire, at least a month before June. yeah i visited twice before the start of summer placement. I met JoAnne in the 2nd semester and happened that we both worked in the same (sort of) region in yorkshire, so we reached an agreement and stayed together in Leeds through out the summer placement. Thank u for your company, Jo. Love u!!
6. write CV and cover letter for hospital placement application. I did that during summer holiday back home! Leeds hospital offered an interview but i couldn't make it bcos i was not back to UK yet.. ish.. my sport membership in leeds uni is gone..
7. clean up the free, old magazines. i disposed half of them! *tick*
8. be more talkative. ahh.. i dun tink i have improved much on this.. too lazy for a change.
9. update the blog more often. *tick tick tick*
10. call up my brother. sorry bro... i believe u r more busy than i am..

How to be upgraded to business class- for dummies

OMG, that's REAL, i had my first ever Business Class Boarding Pass while I was flying from Dubai Airport to KLIA. Osim-like seating, personal study lamp, hidden dining table (with table clothes!!!) and tv screen, free toiletries bag with Bvlgari cosmetics, wine/champaigne list, etc etc... initially i planned to spend the 7hours flight awake, but the seat was just too comfy, so 2hours were awarded for sleeping b4 landing =)

Now, this is how you can get urself upgraded to business class:
1. book a transit flight with Emirates
2. make sure a delay on the first flight cos in return, the headquarter will like to show their apology by upgrading your status
3. choose a less popular journey for your 2nd flight to reduce competition for upgrading
4. pray before getting on your flight!!! after all, it depends on your luck.

the Market Place

located at the centre of KL next to some MAMAKs.. it is unique in the way that... this place is gathered most of the unisexual ppl in the town!

yeah, exciting so we made our way to the place. We reached there at 8pm, a couple tables in the bar were taken by people who don't look like uni-s. We were led to the dining area, where had NONE customers!! "i have booked the whole dining room for you, dear sis" sis joked. well, that actually made me worry about their food quality. But i was wrong, the taste was more than average, service was tremendous indeed because we were the oni table waiting to be served.

but hor... i was upset abt one thing... i din see any uni-s gang!! besides the boss la i tink..

Longest FIVE minutes in my life EVER!!!

NEVER take train to or back from an AIRPORT!!

Reason No.1
you gotta carrying your luggage (weighs 25-30kgs) up and down on stairs because there might not be a lift service, even there are, they might be out of service (such as Birmingham New St.). Birmingham New St. station is one of the busiest station, and this is not a problem at all until their lift and escalators were closed!! As an outcome, i have managed to form an obstacle on the passageway while i was trying to move the luggage up the stairs and the crowd just happened to swamp in at the same time. No one would give you a hand but just blaming for blocking their ways. sighs... that is my longest 5mins ever in my life, with sorry, helpless and embarrassment.

Reason No.2
the luggage storage on the train is limited. You might not have a space if you are travelling from the airport!

Reason No.3
you gonna break your nails while carrying the luggages! i just broke THREE of my tenderly nails... ><

Lesson learnt, and I swear I will always go on a coach for airport from now on!!!

a thrilling day kicked off with the realization of the lost of my key. it is the key to the flat entrance and the strangest thing is.. the key is tangled together with the other two keys, how is it possible to lose only ONE key?!!! well, lucky enough that one of the neighbours was entering the flat at the same time, hence i managed to reach home with my groceries and satisfied my stomach before gastric attack.

i lost my key, remember? so, i had to go to the city to get another copy. i also planned to visit Zara to check out the cardigan i have returned last week. AND.. this is how i ended up with...

I memang plan to buy a new working pants cos one of my pants has been worned out... its black is fading slowly.. >< this is a more feminine working pants, as you can see on the labels, its length is about 8parts of your leg's length, and it is designed to go with heels!!

that's why i went into Faith, and Oh My Gosh, i finally met my ideal working heels!!! leather coloured, medium height with straps!!! plus, it is only 20pounds (original price 50pounds)!!

haihz.. although they are really practical and at reasonable price, i promised i have to save the $$ for travelling......
i shall strand myself away from the city centre for the coming weekends..

i was told by Linda about a Soap Shop in Hebden Bridge which sell soaps in dessert shape, scented, and she was amazed to find this new shop in the town.

then, coincidently i saw the soap shop on the way to Co-op to do my weekly groceries, i went into the shop, hoping to look for some inspirations for souveniers and bday gifts.. just like what i have been told, the shop is filled with aroma, and CUPCAKESS!! oh no, they are actually BATHSALTS!! super duper the cute and REAL X3 i was like a kid who meets BARNEY, over-excited to find out all the bathsalts n soaps in beautiful shapes!

in the end, i bought these... oh... and the shop keeper wrapped them and ribboned them!! T.T it was like a gift for me.. and eventually i did receive a free gift from the shop keeper!! a lily cupcake bathsalt!! there were strawberries, etc etc.. i couldnt make a decision so he picked lily for me.. X3 Oh, and it was wrapped and ribboned as well!! look how pretty they are...


oh.. and besides the lily cupcake, the rest are actually LIP BALMs!!! cute anot XD XD XD

p.s. this is further explanation on how the lipbalm works: the whole thing is actually the container, and there is a small click which u could open the top and retrieve the content!!

worst dream so far... ><

i was lying on a bed.. trying to catch a full breathe, and seeking for help to look for my inhalers.. someone came to my help, i told her where the inhalers were usually kept, but they wasnt there.. she found all the possible locations, and nothing can be found.. i told her to give up looking for them... i thought i was going to die...

it was 6.40am in the tuesday morning, alarm has woke up me.

the inhalers are kept in my luggage, password is 911.

Gosh, does anyone know why is this song so popular in Taiwan?? everyone started to do the dance move whenever u heard "sorry", as in literally a "sorry"! (even a-mei danced with that on a show!!! XD)

then i know why is this so popular, despite the group is really hot, the dance move is actually pretty simple!! (only for chorus part la.. strongly advice to refer to the video while following the steps!)

step 2: Make a "W" shape with your upper body

Working Diary 001: YEE-HAA, ummmm-merry-ka!!

YESH, the last post i talked about how disappointed i was due to the rejection of renting the room. So, I promised myself that i have to SHOP n EAT alot on the next day in Leeds. AND, mission accomplised!

after visiting the super nice room in Armley, and had everything settled, Jo Anne and I had dimsum at Tong's dynasty. Their food was not bad, we ordered 7 dimsums, had some great time chatting and enjoying the tea time like the datin-datin.

then, we started our SHOPPINGS! we only went into MUJI, Dorothy Perkins and Primark. There was 20% offer storewide in Dorothy Perkins that day, i found the deal is really good and i ALWAYS wanna try leggings and long T. SO... i bought these two...

this is a Tshirt with cute squirrel, 5 pounds from the price will be donated to WOODLAND TRUST to reserve the forest. I have been always looking forward to involve myself in protecting the nature, besides LEEHOM's "Change Me" album, this is the 2nd piece of item i bought to show my enthusiasm in LOVING the earth.

and this is my first leggings!! glossy black is so cool!!

THEN, when we walked out of Dorothy Perkins, Primark is just sitting across the street, so we went in to search for something cheap and valuable for this season! and then i found this...

it is very practical because we can wear it to work, casual day wear, or even night outing!

what is so special with the HOOTERS? the reason is very simple:
The waiteresses are superbly HOT and their food is exceptionally DELICIOUS!
it is originated from USA and there is ONLY ONE branch in the UK, which is located in our home, NOTTINGHAM!!! (why? perhaps there is more perverts in Nottingha.. lol)

We ordered boneless chicken wings (bcos all the chic wings with bones are gone!), snow crab legs (as big as YOUR head!), curley fries and raw oysters. We met sylvesters, Mr.incredible, scooby doo, batman too, and had some interesting experience with them. They are all recorded in the pictures and videos, BUT... i left the connectors in malaysia.. so no photos available now (sorry...................). At this stage, if anyone really curious about how the girls, and food look like, check on their web site!!

FFK-ed TWICE by LEEDS properties landlord/agency

be aware people!
if you are going to rent a room/house, and you are from the other state.
then, you better find a local to help you in- view the house and pay the deposit asap.

this happened TWICE to me.
I thought i have reached an agreement to rent the room on phone, but the landlord called me on few days later saying that the room has been taken because someone has paid the deposit.

IS THAT FAIR?
I am supposed to view the house tomorrow and 99% that i will sign the contract, I show my interest and I am coming all the way from the Nottingham. I bought the coach ticket, which is NOT re-fundable. HOWEVER, this agent kicked my ass. He sent a text just 2hours before the midnight, saying that the room has been taken because someone has paid the deposit today. IS THAT FAIR? ARE YOU TELLING ME TO CANCEL MY COACH TICKET? CANCEL MY LEEDS TRIP? WTF is your code of ethics?

I am disappointed, frustration can no longer describe my emotion.

hell yeah, this was the first official gathering with my high school mates after i coming back home for "cuti-cuti Malaysia". Everyone has changed, some has started their post-graduation life, which is... WORKING! some are still studying and being stressful because of the mountain high workloads. BUT, there is one thing that will never change, we still the best buddies for each other, and gather together-gether like the old times, we chit chat, gossips, and keeping up to date with each other life.

WHY did we choose zanmai sushi as the place of gathering?
Factor NO.1: their food is undeniable delicious, and higher standard than the other conveyor belt sushi store.
Factor NO.2: the price is fairly reasonable and affordable for a student.
Factor NO.3: they have freeflow of drinks (green tea). You can stay forever in that place!!

I love sweet, warm, somehow sad romance story.

This is really a good one. It will be one of the few movies that i cried badly when watching it.

Why is it so touching?
If you lost your loved ones, and one day, you received a recorder and notes from the person, just like any other lively, normal friends. How would you react? I was burst into tears when i watch those scenes.. for every love note jerry wrote for holy..

treasure your loved ones, tell them straight into their eyes that how much you love them, cherish them, and treat them like they are one of your parts.
